And we’re not just talking about warehousing and distribution but complete leading-edge manufacturing operations; creating local jobs and catering specifically for the Kiwi Plumbing market.
Our new range of Knuckle Traps and Seismic Joints are just two examples of Plastec’s intention to invest in the design and manufacture of uniquely innovative products for New Zealand plumbers both now and well into the future. Plastec is a privately owned company that can move quickly to meet the demands and challengers of this ever-changing industry. It’s exciting times ahead.
Towards New Horizons
Having had the privilege of being associated with Plastec for over 30 years I have seen firsthand the innovation brought to the plumbing industry. From the first clips developed that held the pipe off the wall to allow for expansion / contraction, to the ground breaking Stack Divertor for commercial stacks and the Swivel Expansion Joints that allow for movement in the soil.
The plumbing industry has evolved a lot over that period and it is great to see a company like Plastec develop solution focused products. It is satisfying to be part of a private company who understands their market and manufactures product locally. Having seen the many new products in the development stage the future looks exciting for Plastec and our industry.
